Skate Park Update

The Intake Ward is to get its first "Skate Park". After much debate and consultation with residents your local councillors were in agreement for it to be built on Sandall Beat Playing Fields. Welcoming this major development within the Ward, your Lib Dem Councillors are pleased to inform you that an additional shelter is going to be incorporated into this design.
This will give undercover seating for the Young People using the facility.

Cliff and Kevin have also requested for additional traffic management measures on Leger Way, plus an access road or path off Leger Way to the Skate Park and Sandall Beat to be investigated at a later date.

As you can all see the skate ramp is complete without additional traffic measures, please while using the park cross Ledger Way by the foot bridge.

New Kids Play Area

Your local Lib Dem councillors are pleased to announce that the new children's play area on Essex Avenue is up and running.
The facility includes swings, roundabout, see-saw and multi frame units.
"I am overjoyed to see, that after all the hard work which has gone into getting a play area on Essex Avenue, that it is finally ready for use." said Councillor Cliff Hampson.

Yet more play equipment

Another "Play Area" will be built by the new Community Centre. The equipment will be for the toddlers of Intake, with seats and litter bins for mum and dad. This area will be ready at the same time as the opening of the new centre
